I would offer, but I don't know anything about your game and I really haven't had any good experiences with online projects. You will have to pay for the assets one way or another if you want to release the game - it might not be now, but it will crop up at some point - and since you already know that it would be better for all, if you paid, try and find someone to help you. Again since you don't have money, offer a part of the game in exchange. Don't mention you have already used them, they might get pissed and drown your game in bad rep on forums and then you won't be able to find help.ģ: Show the game to a 3D artist, who is also a friend, try to partner up with them. Or you could start from scratch and not repeat these ethical considerations the 2nd time around. OR, you could just work hard (in some other way) and pay for what you stole and then release your game. again, depends on ethical framework you bring to the table, I'm not interested in arguing it.
It's some questionable ethical issue but it's not exactly to horrible. You could create some basic 3D programmer art, use that in your demo and show exactly what content you want to purchase (you know, the stuff you stole) and try it that way. This would be basically saying 'hey, come get me for stealing!'. It's just that simple.Ĭould you start a kickstarter to get money for game resources? sure! Should you start a kickstarter showing off all those stolen items you used so you can raise money to pay for those things.um.no. If you purchase the content then you legally have the right to use it (depending on the licenses involved) and so you could release it. Is it pends, and it's something we could argue back and forth. What you did is illegal, depending on the licenses involved.
